Terms

Terms of service

Version dated 18 Oct 2026. These terms apply to every company that uses Sakhani.

1. The service Sakhani is a subscription service that records contractual events, calculates notice periods under the contract you select, drafts notices with the help of artificial intelligence, and stores the record. It is a tool for your team; it is not legal advice and it does not replace your attorney.

2. Your account The master user who registers a company is responsible for the users they invite and for keeping log-in details confidential. You must tell us at once if you believe an account has been compromised.

3. Fees Fees are charged monthly in advance per company, per module and per additional user, at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time, excluding VAT. Price changes take effect from the next monthly period after notice.

4. Your content You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us the licence needed to store, process and display it to your users and to the lawyers who review clauses at your request. We do not use your content to train models.

5. Deadlines and liability The calculated deadlines depend on the contract family you select, the dates you enter and the amendments you accept. You remain responsible for checking them and for sending notices. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.

6. Ending the service You may cancel at the end of any monthly period. We may suspend an account for non-payment or misuse after notice. Your data is available for export for thirty days after cancellation and is then deleted.

7. Law These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
